It all started when we were recently introduced to the fascinating world of sled dog racing by Martin and Gill from the Snopheonix team. They very kindly invited myself and my wife (Helen) along to the first SSHC Ae Forest meeting, 2007 ....and the rest speaks for itself!
As a part-time professional photographer I started up Kingdom Images during 2005. Kingdom Images provides photographic and media services that include wedding, portrait, commercial photography and web design. However, I've always had a hankering to pursue some form of sports photography, so this turned out to be the challenge in waiting. So, here we are ...! Helen and I are also dog lovers, 20 years standing. Our two Bichons are a tad too small and domesticated to pull sleds but they are very much part of our lives.

We can therefore appreciate the devotion that mushers have for their dogs and the joy they provide others doing what they enjoy best ...running and pulling sleds!

Our mission is two-fold, one to go out and have a relaxing day with nice people and their dogs and secondly to try and capture a day's racing for the history books that can be shared by fellow mushers.

We're quickly finding that this form of photography is very 'hit or miss' with many variables that add to the challenge, including low light and weather. You will find most of the pictures taken on the day to be a mix of poor, mostly average and the odd few where we've been lucky to capture that moment! It's the later that will fuel us and help push the cold, damp and midge bites into the background.

This website is not about displaying money making showcase images, it's more about sharing those 'musher moments' that we strive to capture. However, if some viewers do take a fancy to some of the pictures, for whatever reason, they could help to contribute towards our travelling costs by purchasing prints or images.

We look forward to meeting and 'capturing' you all at future meetings.
